Flashback Friday

Welcome back to Flashback Friday!!!  Today's share is a super cute set that I loved immediately when it came out, A New Little Someone from 2003.

How sweet is this bunny?!  This card sort of made itself.  Many of the components of the card were left overs from other projects.  The Crumb Cake card stock embossed with the Square Lattice EF was sitting in my extras box as was the Pretty in Pink double embossed Vintage Wallpaper card stock.  I added in a card base of Pretty in Pink and Whisper White CS.  The Crumb Cake ribbon added a nice touch.

The bunny was stamped with black StazOn on Glossy White CS and colored in with an Aqua painter and markers.  I stamped the greeting with Soft Suede directly on the Whisper White layer.

I liked this card so much that I used a couple other extras and made two more cards with different colors.

I did a bunny in Bashful Blue with the Crumb Cake and Whisper White.  Just as sweet as the pink bunny!

And the last bunny is with Wisteria Wonder and retired Almost Amethyst.  I used the retired Almost Amethyst marker for coloring the bunny, it compliments Wisteria Wonder beautifully!  I have a close up of the double embossed Wisteria Wonder to show you.

Double embossing is a technique with a lot of WOW power!  It is really beautiful, especially in person.  I did a few baby cards last spring using this technique and these three cards were made with the extra pieces.  I save everything, so why not extra bits and pieces made during card construction!  My tip of the day is to keep all your extras in a stamp case on your desk and use them!  If I punch or die cut something and it just doesn't work, I save it.  You never know when it may come in handy! For these cards, I actually went through my box and purposefully made the cards from extras.

Thanks for visiting, come back tomorrow for a fun card.  I am starting another themed day, Saturday's will be called See It Again Saturday.  I will feature a card or project that uses a template/layout previously shown on my blog.  Tomorrow I have a card to share that I made with a template featured this week that uses colors for a Challenge on Patty Bennett's blog.  So, you'll want to come back!!

If it doesn't move...stamp it!!
