Welcome to Flashback Friday! This week we travel back to 2007 for the stamp set So Much. I haven't really done a lot with this set. I got this as the free set for a regional event in Cincinnati in 2007. Here's a picture of the set.
I had this in my pile of stamps that I was actually going to sell, but it's still here... and I'm glad! I think it's a fun set to use in a more abstract way which is currently popular. I sat down with it and had a card finished in no time, it sort of made itself. I didn't have to contemplate much, I just sat down and started stamping. Here's my card.
I am loving the new Circle Framelits, so that is what led me to this stamp set in the first place. I wanted to die cut the swirl of circles from the stamp set. I am also loving the In Colors right now, so I went in that direction for a lighter feel. The card base is actually the retired Cool Caribbean, reason being it was a card base ready to go from my extras pile. I stamped the swirl of circles with the new Smokey Slate and added in the Crisp Cantaloupe flower for a bright pop of color. The flower was stamped then hand cut out and added to the circle. I punched a small circle of the Crisp Cantaloupe CS for the center of the flower which was then topped with a Smokey Slate flower and gem. I added in paper piercing around the circle, just because I felt like it! The card base has flowers stamped lightly with Coastal Cabana (stamped off once) and gems added to the centers. The greeting is divided up, the Thanks is die cut with a Bitty Banners framelit and popped up with dimensionals. The So Much is stamped directly to the card base with Coastal Cabana. I love how fun and light this card ended up. The bling that I added in really brought it to life. I hope you like it too...this was a really fun and easy card to throw together. Love it Nicole!!! I haven't seen this stamp set before and I think it would be a good one to keep. The circles are so "in style" right now (do they ever go "out of style"??). Thank you for sharing.
Your cards just make me smile! This is very cute & sweet Nicole! Seeing old sets in such current colors- make me wish I had it or worse, that I keep the one I have!
