Simply Sketched for TSSC269

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Today I have a Wisteria Wonder card to share for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  Take a look at the great sketch Mary Jo gave us this week.

I didn't have to think for long about what to do for this sketch.  I have the new DSP Afternoon Picnic that I have been wanting to use, so I started out with it.  I chose the chevron design paper and worked around those colors.  Here's my card.
The DSP had Pear Pizzaz, Wisteria Wonder and So Saffron in it.  I decided on Wisteria Wonder as my main color.  The base card is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dot EF.  The DSP was punched with the Scallop Trim Border and adhered to the card.  I used a square of Whisper White CS and stamped the flower from Simply Sketched in StazOn Black.  I used an Aqua Painter and ink pad to color the image.  The fun part of today's card came next.  I finally got to play with the new Simply Pressed Clay and Buttons and Blossoms Molds.  Oh my goodness, making them is addictive!  So much fun!  The flower I made for my card is the largest of the three flowers.  I colored the clay by pressing the it on my ink pad and blending the color in.  I did this several times to get a dark enough color. You can use re-inkers, but this way worked just as well.  After the clay was colored, I pressed it into the flower I wanted and popped it into the freezer for about ten minutes and it came out very easy.  I added the pearl to the top and was able to gently press it down into the clay a bit.  I let the flower sit a few minutes then adhered it to the card with Tombow Mutli-purpose adhesive.  The final touch was the greeting stamped in Wisteria Wonder and the card was done.  Here is a closer look at the focal point.

I really enjoyed making this card, I hope you will try out the new Simply Pressed Clay.  It makes easy work of adding special touches to your cards and projects.
