Picture Perfect

Welcome!  It's Thursday (already!) and time for a new challenge from Create with Connie and Mary. This week is a color challenge, take a look.

Now I have to admit that I had no idea what to do at first for this challenge...not a clue!  I sat down and just looked at my stamps to see what might look good with these colors and finally decided on this design.

It's crisp and clean with a bit of boldness.  I just got Filmstrip and thought the cameras from Around the World would be perfect with it.  The card base is Basic Black with a layer of Summer Starfruit then Whisper White.  The filmstrip is stamped on the white with StazOn Black ink.

Each film strip has a sentiment.  The first one, "Oh Snap"  is from Hip Notes.  The second is "picture perfect" from the Make Note This and That Rotary Stamp.  Both sentiments are done with Pistachio Pudding and die cut with Bitty Banner Framelits.

The final elements are the cameras.  Each was stamped with Summer Starfruit and cut out by hand then added to the card with Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive.

So, I ended up with a crisp white card with the boldness of the Basic Black to make the elements "pop".

I hope you will try this unique color challenge as well!  You can find all the challenge details and more great samples at Create with Connie and Mary.

Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping!

Life is Wonderful

Welcome!  Today I have a fun and simple card to share that I made for the sketch challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  First, let me show you the sketch.

I love how this card turned out, simple yet beautiful.

The whole design for this card came from the tag in the center.  It comes from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit.  I love that the kit is great for cards as well as tags.  I went with the Calypso Coral tag since it coordinates well with the Sweet Sorbet DSP.

The pieces of DSP are layered on a Soft Sky base with Soft Sky Seam Binding over top.  The tag has a sentiment from Perfect Pennants and is adhered with dimensionals over the ribbon.  And that's it!  A super easy and simple card that can be pulled together quickly.  Perfect for using up scraps of DSP or throwing together when you need a last minute card.

I hope you'll join the challenge with me!  You can find all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.

So Very Grateful for TSSC303

Happy Monday!  Another weekend gone in a flash, but today is the start of a new week and a new sketch challenge at Technostamper.  Mary Jo has a fun banner sketch for us this week, take a look.

I used So Very Grateful for my card, I am really enjoying this set!  Here's what I came up with.

I just love these flowers, so much fun to color.  For this card, the flowers coordinate with the Sweet Sorbet DSP from the Sale-a-bration catalog.

The card base is Sahara Sand with a layer of DSP.  Next are the banners.  Each piece of DSP is 1" x 3" with the banner ends made with the Hexagon Punch.

Next element is the square, 3"x3" Basic Black with more DSP.

The focal point is the flowers stamped with StazOn Black and die cut with a Circle Framelit.  I used blender pens and ink pads to color them.  I almost added a matting, but liked the way it looked by itself.  It is popped up with dimensionals to make it stand out.

I hope you will join me for the challenge!  All the details can be found at Technostamper.  And by clicking the links below, you can go directly to the samples from the rest of the design team.
