Painted Blooms for CCMC339

It's Thursday and time for a challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.  This week we have a really cool sketch to work with, take a look.

I love the stripes on this sketch and immediately thought of Designer paper as I'm sure you have.  I pulled out Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper and picked out a beautiful pattern of blues and pinks.

I really love Marina Mist, it's such a rich and beautiful color.  On this card it pairs beautifully with the designer paper and the Garden Green behind the focal point.

Here's a quick breakdown of how the card came together.

1.  Stamped a Marina Mist card base with the trio of flowers from Painted Petals.  I stamped off once with Marina Mist before stamping on the cardstock.

2.  Cut strips of designer paper measuring 3/4" x 4 1/4".  Layered them along the bottom of the card with a small space in between.

3.  Cut a piece of Garden Green cardstock measuring 2 1/2" x 3 1/2".  Stamped stems and flowers with Garden green ink.

4.  Stamped a garden label in From the Garden stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black in and die cut with matching framelit.  Stamped "Thank You" from Something to Say with Marina Mist in the label.

5.  Stamped two flowers from the stamp set From the Garden using Regal Rose and fussy cut them.  Added to the side of the garden label.  The first is adhered directly on the paper, the second flower is popped up with a dimensional.

6.  Last step was three pearls added to the card as shown on the sketch.

I am loving all the flowers and looking forward to spring!!  All of the fun new card ideas floating around on Pinterest and the internet have really inspired me!!  I hope you are feeling inspired to join the challenge with us this week.  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team.
